Every dog that comes into our care becomes a SABBR Boofa — for life.
We are a passionate network of volunteers and supporters dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming Staffordshire Bull Terriers and Bull Breed dogs (including crossbreeds). Our mission is to ensure no Boofa is left behind — no matter their age, condition, or past — and to give each dog the chance to thrive in a loving home.
We are a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based rescue proudly committed to a no-kill policy. Our team works tirelessly to:
• Save Boofas from euthanasia across WA
• Provide safe, loving foster homes
• Deliver essential vet care and behavioural support
• Advocate for responsible ownership and the true nature of Bull Breeds as loyal family companions
At any one time, we care for between 100–120 dogs and puppies, and each year we help 300–400 Boofas find their second chance.
Every dollar makes a difference:
Medical Costs
• $80 — Annual vaccination
• $60 — Microchipping
• $90 — 6 months of flea & worming
• $198 — Monthly Cytopoint (skin allergies)
• $46 — 1kg puppy milk replacement
• $320 — Male desexing (average)
• $430 — Female desexing (average)
Operational Costs
• $140 — 1 week of emergency kennelling
• $560 — 1 month of emergency kennelling
While SABBR is a foster-based rescue, we sometimes rely on short-term kennelling when no foster home is immediately available — it can be the difference between life and death for a Boofa in need.
